Mvula Trust, South Africa's largest water and sanitation NGO, seeks to improve the well-being of rural and peri-urban communities by increasing access to safe, sustainable water and sanitation services.
The Trust tests cost-effective models for water and sanitation, supports local government service delivery, and helps communities manage their own water services so that economic resources stay within the community.
The organisation has distributed over R300-million for water services projects around the country, and has helped develop services for over a million South Africans who previously had no access to water or sanitation facilities.
