Waste At Work is a collaboration between business and artists to reduce the 20 million tonnes of annual household and office waste that reach our ever shrinking landfill sites. It brings together social, cultural, environmental and political concerns by highlighting the need for waste minimisation; increases awareness of the efficient use of resources; builds cultural bridges between artists and corporations and develops skills within community groups. Artists are paired with corporations to create an artwork out of that company’s paper waste. The artwork is a visual monument and tangible reminder of the company’s commitment to waste reduction.
