Mon, 2012-06-04 09:00 - Thu, 2012-06-07 16:00

Khanya-aicdd is hosting an accredited course in participatory approaches to development. Professionals involved in the development sector, be it community conservation, corporate social investment or social research, often find it difficult to show impact from their intervention that demonstrates community buy-in and true empowerment.

Khanya-aicdd invites you into a space to explore and share ideas about different tools to engage in development, through experiential learning and action reflection.

This accredited workshop is designed to introduce participants to:

- innovative ways of developing alternative strategies to deal with contemporary development challenges;
- new ways of using social development processes to analyze, engage and re-imagine the development context
- using tools that are based on participatory methodologies that maximize the efficiency of stakeholder engagement.

The course introduces participants to the basics of the Sustainable Livelihoods Approach and participatory approaches to development. It is accredited at NQF level 5 upon submission of an additional assignment.
